Your site must sell antiques and older collectibles -- not new market items -- of a general nature, rather than a specific nature, unless deemed to be of high collectibility and interest that would appeal to a larger, general audience.   Merchandise must be accurately represented and prices must be shown.   Content value will be rated and sites must show excellence in design.   Membership is at the sole discretion of the Ring Manager of BEST Antiques. THE FOLLOWING SITES DO NOT QUALIFY FOR MEMBERSHIP, SO DO NOT SUBMIT IF YOU ARE: Sites selling reproductions OR new merchandise of ANY kind OR current production items; Site that belong to an online mall where the HOME button takes you to a page other than the page you register with; Exclusive Auctions, classifieds, travel or bulletin board sites; Sites selling one specific category; i.e., jewelry, pottery, or one specialty unless accompanied with educational pages that share information pertaining to that particular specialty such as reasons for collecting, what people should look for, history, manufacturers info, or something of that nature. Sites already belonging to other general antique ring (see next paragraph)*;   Sites under construction or lacking full content . TERMS & CONDITIONS - EXCLUSIVITY CLAUSE *IMPORTANT NOTICE:  In November, 1998, it was decided by a unanimous vote of the BEST Antiques on the Web! members that future members will be limited to belonging to only one antique webring of a general nature.  You may belong to (up to 3) specialized webrings (such as jewelry, toys, etc.), but for antiques of a general nature, you must belong only to BEST Antiques on the Web! exclusively.  Any deviation from this rule will result in immediate removal from the ring.  If your site is accepted, you will receive an invitation to join.  If you do not hear back from me, assume your site did not meet the qualifications.  PLEASE do not send follow-up emails as these will not be answered and will only result in delaying your site from being visited.    DO NOT send  requests for appraisals ... these will not be answered.
